Rod bling
« on: June 06, 2015, 09:23:14 AM »
I got tired of cleaning rod handles and put some shrink tubing on some of mine several years ago.  I just ordered some new stuff to put on some that had rod wraps they were old and nasty.  I bought 5 colors and here are the first ones that I have finished.

Nice!   i usually wrap mine with magic tape.   Is that shrink wrap pretty tacky feeling?

Interesting!

I'm assuming that you will need to cut it off if you need to remove the reels for any reason?

And how does it feel to hold? Is it slippery when it gets wet?

I used both spinning and bait casters today and I really like the stuff.

It feels a bit tacky Jack plus the X configuration is slightly raised, especially on the red/black.   Curt I haven't had them we yet but they can be any slicker than wet cork, plus the are going to be a lot easier to dry off and to clean.

I have taken a couple of reels off in the past.  I have just heated it and rolled it up.  Then when the reel is back on I just rolled it back heated it again and it shrunk back to shape.
