Night Fishing Winding Down
« on: September 21, 2015, 10:16:39 AM »
Made another night trip on Friday night. It was a decent trip, but I think it might be my last one for the year.

The temps after sunset are starting to dip down pretty low and it makes it a bit uncomfortable to stay out too late. On top of that, if my wife goes with me and has her sleeping bag on the back deck, ,everything gets pretty wet from the condensation, which makes it a bit unpleasant for her too. We'll see how the temps go during the next week or so.

Anyway,

I had 6 or 7 bass that night, with this one being the best one:

It was a solid 3 1/2 lbs. or a bit better. I caught it on a new spinnerbait that I was testing. It was made by Rich Edwards of @CustomJigLureInnovations

I have to say that his spinnerbaits are incredibly built. The attention to detail is better than anything I've ever seen on a spinnerbait, and the materials used are nothing but the best. I landed a couple of good fish on this bait and it showed no signs whatsoever of bending or getting out of shape, like most spinnerbaits do.

Temperatures here last night dipped down into the 40s, with a pretty major cold front blowing through during the night. As of right now it's still only in the low 60s. Brrr!
