Hit The Water Today for a Bit.

Hit the water for about 5 hours today. My wife walked into the bedroom this morning and said "let's go fishing". I didn't argue! 

We fished from around 8:30 AM until around 2:30. The bite was slow, with only 3 bass caught, but I did manage to catch a decent one on this new bait I got from Bettencourt Baits.

It's called an Assassin. I had this one painted in a "Cow" pattern. This thing has some incredible action, whether you work it slowly as a wakebait or crank it down a foot or so below the surface.

I'm sure it would catch both Musky and Pike. I caught a large pickerel on it while we were out there too.

Everything that Nathan Bettencourt designs is geared toward big bass, but big Pike and Musky will undoubtedly gobble them up 

You should check his stuff out. His baits are all handmade and pretty unique. I've heard of some really big bass being caught on them!
