Mystick All In One Oil??

(1/2) > >>

Curt:
I just learned about this oil that Bill Dance has supposedly been promoting. I haven't see the ads myself, but was told by someone else about it.

The supposed benefits of this new oil include the fact that the oil has fuel stabilizer, ethanol treatment and engine cleaner already mixed into it.

My gripe with that, though, is the fact that the ethanol treatment and fuel stabilizer are being added to the fuel as it's injected or passed through the carburetor into the outboard, not before. Which leaves all of the fuel in the tank untreated for however long the boat happens to sit idle.

In my opinion, this would defeat most of the purpose of treating the fuel to begin with, since stabilizer is supposed to keep the fuel from going bad?

Seems like a pretty poor idea to me. But obviously with good marketing, it'll sell quite well, I'm sure.

Have any of you heard of this stuff? What's your opinion of it??

Think outside of the box!

As a pre-mix it IS in the tank, you're only thinking about current state marine w/ automatic oil injection.

Think here:

Chain Saws
Weedeaters
Generators (yes, I have a 2-cycle one that uses pre-mix)
and other small 2-cycle apparatus

Curt:
I don't doubt at all that it will work for the devices you've mentioned, but I don't think so much for oil injected outboards  (nope)

If someone feels otherwise, please tell me why I'm wrong

frugalangler:
I totally agree on an oil injected outboard, it's essentially worthless for what it touts, I'm sticking w/ Stabil in the fuel tank.

we moved to amsoil for the pontoon and my sons boat  for premix   wow   big change in the way the motor runs..plus plus....and sta-bil
