I think @Eric Low tried these last year while he was in Florida for the winter. Maybe he can give you some feedback on them.

Eric Low:
Have 2 on my 36v motor guide. Wouldn't fish in Florida without them. Soft weeds, will though, stack on your shaft and bog you down until cleared. For stiffer weeds like wire grass and pads it works great at full power or near so. I also raise the motor so prop is just under the surface. Minn Kota are better in the weeds. I would think it eould make them more so. Ninja blade uses 3m tape now to attach to the motor. I have had no issues after a year of use with the tape. Lost the first one that I epoxied on.

Hard to believe that 3M tape holds better than epoxy  :surprised:

I believe that 3M tape is what holds keel protectors (except Hamby's) on.
