@Jig Man Thank you!
@frugalangler Congrats!! Great job
It was so tough out there yesterday!! The wind was already blowing 7-10 MPH at 6 AM when we were launching. And the air temp was only about 40
But I had a plan and stuck to it. And it worked
The weights were really low with the conditions we had, and there were only two of us with a limit, but I was one of them. And it was enough for the win.
I bagged 5 bass for a winning weight of... ready for this? 6.93 lbs. and 1st place!
I caught all of my bass (7 of them and two lost fish) on a spinnerbait and a bladed jig that I had made specifically for this tourney. I'll give more details in my fishing report when I post it later on.
It was windy the entire day, from the very moment we started fishing. And let's just say that the wind was blowing so hard that I almost lost my balance a couple of times when the gusts hit me and caught me off guard. Not from the boat rocking, but because the gust was so strong!
I spent the majority of the day leaning into the wind! I got some video with my HD cam that shows how hard it was blowing, so I will post that later in the week.
Anyway, it sure was good to get back out there, catch some fish and compete with my fellow club members
