More Night Fishing
« on: July 03, 2017, 08:10:53 PM »
Hit the water again last night with a buddy and had a decent night. Fished from 9 PM until 2 AM.

Landed 7 bass and lost two good ones. Two of the 7 were shorts, The others were all good fish, with two of them being over 3 lbs.

Caught them mostly on a spinnerbait. I did have one right at dusk on the Salty B-Bug. Lost a really good one on the big topwater bait from Australia I've been talking about lately.

Water temperature was 80 degrees!  :surprised:

Air temps were't too shabby, sticking close to 70 all night. Fished in shorts and t-shirts from start to finish

I am envious.  Our lake are loaded with ride around boats full of drunks this time of year plus monsoon season seems to be here with storms every day.
If you're too busy to go fishing you're too busy!!

That really stinks  :crying:

Around here, the lakes are extremely quiet after dark. Daytime is a different story, with water skiers, jet skis and other yahoos running all over the place.

I'm hoping the tourists and weekenders clear out before the upcoming full moon.  I plan to go for a night or 2 then more rainy stormy weather is in the forecast.
