Swing jigs
« on: February 01, 2015, 09:40:57 AM »
I got a mold for my BD.  It has sizes 1/8 to 7/16.  I am experimenting with it.  There seems to be no limit to the size and style of hooks that it will take.

If you're too busy to go fishing you're too busy!!

I never have tried one of those yet.

I'm gonna have to this year.

If you can't find what you want give me a shout and maybe we can work something out.  The ones I've seen on the shelf go for 3 bones or so.  I won't pay that for a bait that has a life expectancy of 1 cast. ;)

I like those! Might be great on these ledges.  (yes)

Love the swing jig. there is a bigger mold as well by
Do-It now that has larger sizes. I use the crap out of these in the summer. I get them made at a VERY good price or I would have bought the mold myself already.

I've been seeing more of these that last year or so. Not sure what the advantages are of this style, but I'm sure there are some for specific conditions where they'd excel.

@Curt it is a totally different way to present the bait. You actually fish it more like a crankbaiy than a jig.

This is my favorite way to fish Boomer Bugs and Boxing Craws.  I make a weedless version and one with a flipping hook.
