I never did receive the one I ordered, and after seeing them at Dicks a couple weeks ago I was kinda glad I didn't.   They looked pretty cheap in person.
Dicks had them for half price.

Overall, the quality is good. The hooks are rugged, as are the split rings, etc. My only concern, which I think I mentioned in the review, is the wings. I'm not sure how they will hold up to being crushed by big bass after a while. I will find out and update the review once I've gotten some more time with this one and caught some big bass on it.

I remember Dick's having a two for one special on the Savage Gear 3D Rats, which I bought 2 of. But not on the Bats, at least not when I've been in there.

And....that's a problem? Really?  :'l

LOL. Exactly.

I'm guessing they'll be fine. But only time will tell for sure

I'm comparing the wings to those on bulkier lures that I already own, like this one:

But, that lure above also has a deeper/taller body, so the bigger wings are more than likely required to give it adequate action on the retrieve.

With the bat having a thinner/shallower body, it will likely require less wing to get it rocking.

As I noted in the review, though, it makes more of a splashing/slashing sound than a gurgling/blooping sound.

I personally prefer the blooping sound, but I'll let the bass tell me what they prefer   (yes)

THAT'S what yer talkin' about?! Wow, that's goes right to the sayin', "the more things change, the more they stay the same". I've got one a those stuffed away that Grandpa let me have. Wood. Think it was called a Crazy Crawler. Used to fish with it when 'fore I was a teenager. Made a helluva racket.
 (hmm)

The Crazy Crawler was probably the original "winged" topwater bait, at least in modern bass fishing times.

The bait pictured above is way bigger (2 to 3 times bigger) than the Crazy Crawler and makes much more noise!

And because it's so much bigger, it catches a much bigger average size fish too.  (yes)
