First TX 2018
« on: March 19, 2018, 02:49:19 PM »
Well, we had our first club TX last Saturday,  what a miserable day.

Twas about 43* at 5:30, 39* at 7:15 launch, and didn't go up a bit until maybe about 1:30, but I bailed out and pulled at 11:30 - about a 20MPH north wind made it nasty and the lake lies N-S, the only great bite lies on a southern bluff bank and the creek runs north from it about 2 miles, so the wind runs the creek and blows up against that bluff - cold and boat position just made for a miserable day.

Oh well, warmer weather to follow - I'm heading to TX Sam Rayburn area next week, warmer weather should be abundant, at least I hope.

Definitely a bad way to start the year with those conditions  :crying:

I hope the weather in TX treats you better!

We have another Nor'easter blowing in here this week. Our 4th this month!

This one's supposed to drop another 5-8 inches of heavy snow on us.  (fp)

I guess it's safe to say that we aren't having an early Spring after all

Welcome to the first day of Spring. Let's have another Nor'easter here in New England and get 7-10 inches of snow with 40 MPH winds

Our first day of spring is cold in the 40s with a 20+ mph wind from the NW.  However, spring is supposed to be here Thurs and Fri with temps around 70°.
If you're too busy to go fishing you're too busy!!

I'm on the way to E. Texas Friday, forecast is for 70's and 80's, so I'll see if FedEx will ship it to you, might be kinda $$$$$$-ey though! LOL Can't wait, a week in the sun and warm, hope it don't storm!

Sam Rayburn and some other lakes in area, maybe Toledo Bend if we get bored! Be there 8 full days, note to self, take plenty of sunblock SPF-50!
