Skeeter LSS2 transducer mounting
« on: May 23, 2018, 01:04:57 AM »
Just for info as I found it hard to find a lot of good pictures or write up on mount the LSS2 transducer on my 1996 skeeter zx300c

I used a stren saver mount that epoxies to Hull.  Then attached transducer mount to that to avoid more holes in my hull and get a good centered mounting location that was protected enough to my liking without interference from motor.

Here are pictures of install hope this help anyone looking for ideas.

Looks like you found a good spot and attaching plan.

One thing - I'd look at shortening up that ducer cord loop as much as possible. Keep from hooking on on a stick up unknownst to you. Best case scenario is hard time getting off it and being a REAL pain to get to from the boat... Worst case tearing something up not realizing.

I would feel your pain.  (whew)

Wow if that is a 96 boat, someone has been doing a lot of TLC.  The under side looks practically new.

I Didn’t think I wanted to bend the cable to sharply so I looped it like that so far it it has not hung up on anything.

Shorten it up a bit shouldnt be an issue

Yeah it was my uncles boat and he took extremely good care of it.  Hopefully I can keep that up and make it last another 20plus years

Just the fact that you're aware of how well it was taken care of is a plus, since it inspires and motivates you to do the same
