Front Bow panel replacement
« on: June 03, 2018, 09:38:13 PM »
Ended up splitting the front bow panel on the skeeter when replacing the trolling motor plug.  Plus the area around many screws was cracked.  So I ended up finding Jimmie Boswell in my search for a replacement panel.   Not sure if he is on this fourm.  Tho I want to give credit to him for a quality replacement part.

I will say that I had to do a little remove a bit of gelcoat and fiberglass for trolling motor plug and trim switch to clear properly(Not exactly same spot as original panel), had to drill mounting screw holes, and used SS screws I had that where the same size used from factory(ones he sent me where bigger i was afraid of splitting gelcoat/fiberglass).  Being a custom piece I knew I might have to do slight mod’s for install.

All in all I can’t complain for a custom built part to replace a part that is no longer made.  Feel it came out looking pretty good myself

If your in need of a bow panel replacement it might be a good option for you.

Old one

New one installed

Also it’s made of fiberglass and painted with Bed liner paint do it should last a very long time.
