And the Optima battery being fully charged raises other questions about what might really be happening. You might want to look into possible shorts or something else draining your system like this.

Jig Man:
You are right Curt.  I'll know for sure after the accessories are moved.  If I have a problem there will be less to look at to find it.  My thinking is I already have the extra battery with no real place to use it.  I tried to sell it but got no takers so I'll just use it as the weight won't be a problem and I have a charger that I can dedicate to that battery.

Curt:
Let us know what you find!

bullet20dc:
on mine if i fish a small lake with df and live wells on full time all day and very little driving around to charge it up mine will drain down to where my outboard wont crank   the tell tale is when my df beep low voltage and drops below 10.2 v and shuts off.  thankfully i have a jump start switch that paralells one or all the trolling batts to the starter battery and I can start it up.  I had an accessory battery in the bullet  and that cured the problem

That is what I am hoping will happen.  With the old Sears PM 1 battery I could run all units as well as pumps all day long bluff fishing and never have a problem.  Alas those batteries are no more.
