Well, the weather here is finally "starting" to warm up a tad. The lakes in my area are also ice-free now!

During the last couple of weeks I've been spending bits of time in the garage, getting the rods and reels ready, as well as organizing my tackle in the boat.

I've also been making a bunch of new spinnerbaits and bladed jigs, so I will have plenty of baits to use before the season even starts.

Yesterday I got everything pretty much done. I just need to do a bit more organizing in the boat and I'll be 100% ready (if there is such a thing as 100% ready!)  (yes)

Had my first tournament of the year Saturday.  At blast off it was 35°, at weigh-in 77°.   Talk about going from freezing to sweating, that 77 felt more like 90 after freezing that morning.
Came in 4th out of 17 boats.   Good for a couple gift cards.
