big change for me been fishing Ross Barnett (the rez) for the last 20yr. Gators, pads, muddy water. Here gin clear DEEEP did I mention clear, still trying to figure em out, saw a man win an $80K boat with 10lbs of fish

LOL.. those clear lakes will do that to you!
Light line, small baits, lots of patience.
Or burn baits close to fish-holding structure and try to get a reflex bite.
The other option is to go there on cloudy, rainy or windy days, when the fish are more active.

Degray has been very tough to pattern or even figure out the last couple of years. At one point it was loaded with grass and was a very good fishery. It would usually take 15 to 18 pounds just for the night tournament. Be extremely careful of the shallows an underwater humps during the winter draw down. Brushy Creek area is a pretty productive area in terms of size at certain times of the year and in terms of numbers other times of the year.
