Lews Pro Team Speed Spool
« on: February 18, 2015, 07:50:05 AM »
Just looking for some input, if there is any yet, on the new Lews Pro Team Speed Spool that runs for $299.99. I was also looking into the Daiwa Zillion 6.4 as they both have IPT of 28 and the same price.

LEW's  !!!!!
Great reel solid and dependable. Good stiff frame, Good Bearings.  (yes)

Daiwa Zillion....... Ok reel if your a fan of Daiwa's.

3-5years from now the Lews reel will still be going strong and if you do happen to have a problem with it the parts will be easy to get.
Daiwa parts can be.....Lets say if'ie at best. (hmm)

If it were my money......I'd go with the Lews.  AND I'm a Shimano fan.  (yes)

I've heard nothing but good about Lew's reels. And I'm a Shimano fan too!

Ok fellas, I'll try it. I do have Shimano and Daiwa reels so this will be my
first Lews reel.

Cool @Charlie I've been wanting to try a Lew's Speed Spool for quite a while, but they aren't as readily available in stores (Dick's Sporting Goods, etc.) as Shimano and Abu. Maybe this year will be the year to do something about that and try one out  (y)
