Sometimes it makes you wonder if maybe we place too much emphasis on color? Hmmm
When your catching them yeah but when they are not biting the bottom of my boat looks like a yard sale gone bad. I throw every color I have. That is another reason I limit what is in my boat so I don't spend more time changing then fishing.
Exactly. We make it too complicated. Changing colors can sometimes make a difference, I won't argue that point. But most times changing presentations will make more of a difference
Here's a good example of when a color change
did make a huge difference.
I was out fishing with my brother-in-law on a sunny day on a very small lake with very clear water. I was throwing a T rigged red shad 7 inch worm. I wasn't getting bit.
He started throwing a T rigged worm, same size and style, but in a green shad. He was hammering the bass!
After this went on for a while, I changed to green shad and wham, it was on for me too!
Clearly a color preference that day. I tend to think it was more because of the water color than because the bass preferred a certain color. But the bass never did whisper in my ear to tell me why
