I use braid a lot. I started using Power Pro several year ago. I have tried some others but keep going back to PP. What I have found with braid is limbs and rocks are very hard on it. The knot that I use on braid is the same knot I use on all lines. It is called the 16/20 or Pitzen knot. I haven't had breakoffs with braid on hook sets. I have straightened out hooks on A-rig hook sets so that I have had to loosen my drag with fishing them.
If again IF...........I use a braid its always with a palomar knot. I have better results with p-line. JMHO
I have found that the lighter lines dig in to the spool (baitcaster) under strain and backlashes are a real pain to pick out so for me any advantages are lost.
the digging in problem is a real pain in the butt. And when you backlash braid, you might as well sit down for 15 minutes to pick it out

I use 10 -20 lb braid in all my spinning rods using a floro leader via an albright knot most of the time. For baitcasters I only use braid in heavy vegetation with 65 lb plus and have found the palamar knot works best.
