I'm just wondering how many setups you have out when fishing alone?
I normally have 10, 6 on the deck and 4 more in the passenger's rod holders so I can trade out when needed.
How many do you take when in another guys boat?
I take 5, 4 are stored in my Bac Rac and one in my hands.

Usually 4 on the deck and a few more in the rod locker. Try to limit myself to 4 rods when I go with someone else.

Usually 6 or 8 on the deck and another 6 in the lockers.
On the rare occasion I fish from someone else's boat, I usually try to limit myself to 5 rods.

It all depends on what or how I'm fishing.
If I'm fishing a tournament I may have 8-10 rods on the front deck.
Night fishing I will have no more than 4 on the side I'm not fishing off of.
Fishing as a Co-Boater..........Never more than 4.

I have a Bac Rac and use it when fishing alone. It's great cuz the rods are always tied down and makes for quick location changes. Guys don't like it on the back deck, it takes up too much space.

Oh....and I carry 12 rods on the boat, 4 of which are spinning. I leave eight in the locker and have four out and rigged.

Because my boat is garaged, I tend not to use the rod lockers as much as I used to. So because of this, I seem to have a constant 8-10 rods on the front deck.
At night I will typically narrow it down to 6.

Pretty common for me to have 5-6 on the deck and another 5-6 in the locker. As the day wears on I'll realize there's a couple that aren't necessary any longer and they go back in the locker. When I'm in someone else's boat I usually take 5.

I usually had seven or eight on deck. The boat I had did not have a rod locker up front. It was too short for that.
