I was updating my Touch units the other day, so I put together this video about all the steps involved. Hopefully, it'll help out some of the people with questions about all the steps.

Great info Scott.
Have you seen any problems with the newest update? Reason I am asking is that my old Gen1/2's would have problems when/after up dated......I don't want that to happen with my Touch units.

I'm having some problems with 3.5, but I'm loading 4.0 and I think that will fix the problems that 3.5 had. One thing about 4.0 is that you no longer remove the SD card when the installation is done to reboot.

What does the newest update do for you? I haven't updated since the first summer I had the Touch's. (2013)

4.0 changes the update procedures slightly and adds go free wireless features. also modifies operating system on touches to match gen3.
