Yeah I always thought it was good looking skeeter an I get a lot of compliments on how clean she is.
My uncle always kept it in like new condition and stored in his shop since 96’ when he bought it new.  I bought it after his passing as it holds a lot of memories for us Fishing and skiing with him over years.

I’m slowly fixing little issues as 20plus years things have started to degrade on her.  Tho over all she is still in great shape for her age.

WHat kinds of things are you having to fix? I'm guessing pumps and other moving parts?

Nothing to major
list so far includes

New spark plugs

water pump for motor

One livewell pump replaced

Replaced bungee cords for secure Fishing rods on the deck

Fix a bunch of corroded wire connectors that were bundled under oil tank/onboard charger they literally broke apart when I grabbed them to check’em

Replace trolling motor female plug(corrosion) on bow

Replace motor trim switch on bow

Replaced front fish seat stem as it broke and wouldn’t adjust up or down

Replaced the original x55 depth finder as it gave out finally

Replaced all trailer wiring and lights with leds

Replaced trailer wheel bearings, caps, and tires

Added plastic bunk boards as bunks rooted out on trailer.  tho I need to add a few strips of marine carpet to aid holding it in place when loading it tends to slide off easily now

Also need to replace the seats in the middle has the vinyl is tore and coming apart

I also added a few things new things

rear motor mounted boarding ladder

Led deck lights

Led compartment lights

Coolfoot pads for trolling motor and hotfoot

Added cleat tie downs for docking anchors

I’m currently trying to figure out a replace part for the bow control panel the plexiglass plastic has finally cracked almost in two and around the trolling motor plug and around holes for screws that secure it.  Thinking either some cutting board type plastic, plexiglass painted on back side, or carbon fiber type material.  Ive made a cardboard template so I can make it without having to take it off the boat.
Picture below

A lot of it is me just upgrading the old with new

Also Planning to add a 12’-16’ Minn Kota talon at some point seen quite a few times it would’ve been handy to have on the water.

Past that  some AGM batteries would be a nice addition as the walfart deep cycles lead acid batteries just aren’t holding up.

That's actually not a bad list considering the age of the boat!

All pretty normal stuff. Please keep us updated and be sure to post more pics

Yes, my uncle took really good care of her over the years.  Hopefully I can keep that up and make her last another 20plus years.

I will update as I upgrade, repair, or otherwise modify her.

I'd say he did more than take care of it.  I'd say he babied it from the git go.

He babied it for sure tho once on the water he sure didn’t babie that throttle we always flew everywhere.  I guess his old drag racing days came back to him.
