I recently order a Micro Anchor from Power Pole for my little boat at the house.  Here's some video I shot of the installation.  It was surprisingly easy to install and works great.

I just wonder if one of these micro's would be enough to hold my boat, no more than I would use it.

My hull weight is under 1500pnds.

I would depend on how heavy the entire boat & equipment would be. The manual says it won't void warranty to use on heavier boat, but will effect holding power.

Probably wouldn't work at all on his boat, he has about 350 pounds of electronics alone on that boat.
