I know------ it's not going to be any fun to live where you live for the next few days.
Is it snowing yet?
We usually get what we call a January thaw but it's going to be nice here at least for a few more days.

Yep. The snow has started here. Tonight is supposed to be brutal, from what they're saying.

We already had our "January Thaw here. We had a couple of days in the mid 40s. ha ha  ;D

I expect we will probably have ice out sometime in March, unless we have a warmer-than-normal February.

Time will tell on that. For now, I just want to get through this madness without losing power or having a tree limb fall on my house  :)

I was on upper Bull Shoals last week.  I found water temps from 42° to 48°.  Only managed 5 bass.

There aren't enough of them for me to go after.  I only know of a couple of guys who have ever caught one.

My cousin has a 46 incher hang in on his wall.
I'll ask him where he got it from! Pretty sure it was at the pothole I think he called it.

That sounds about right.  It is just below the Taneycomo dam.  They can't go any farther up stream than that.  I don't ever go up that far.  I normally launch then head down lake for bigger water.
