Very interesting technique and very popular in the Ozark Reservoirs like Table Rock and other surrounding lakes. Great way to catch fish.

Supposedly a near 7# smallie was caught on Stockton last weekend on the Ned. We have been doing versions of it for a long time and didn't call it anything. That is kind of like drop shot. We did it for years but called it double rigging. We used a jig instead of a sinker on the bottom with a wacky worm above it.
I'm looking forward to giving the "ned rig" a shot with a swing jig this year.

I am sold on the swing jig. absolutely love that technique!!

I have made about a gillion floating sticks for that purpose.

Hope Stockton is hot in a couple of weeks, as we have a small club tournament there. Guess this is something else I am going to have to buy and try....I have tried everything else with little to no success. :'l

google Ned Rig and surf the masses of results.

The guys up in the Kansas City area rant and rave about this "ned" rig Never tried but maybe I should! (y) They claim its a smallmouth catching machine.
