Hi guys, is this something difficult and costly to repair?
-
I just did the trim seals and internals on that motor but not the tilt the prev owner got the wrong ones for the tilt and I didnt do it its not bad.
-
I sent picture to Charlie but he might be away, I'm wondering if boat can still be use once before repairing it? It took a week for this to show, and barely a wet spot on the ground.
Don't want to do further damage.
-
should I buy the right seals and we do it when you have a chance?
Is boat still usable?
-
:o Somebody was kinda rough on that end cap. Hopefully they didn't score up the ram or it'll keep tearing up seals.
-
yep he was rough on it he used a punch to get it off or try to get it off and thats when I came in ya need the tool dto do it right thats the trim seals your looking at not the tilt the tilt is in the middle I checked that mess bit the seal part is further down in the cap thats butcher job is cosmetic only
-
repair is not to bad but get new end caps and order the right tool
-
Let me know how it goes E. Mine is weird and will leak everynow and again. Not bad and it may be a month between times it leaks. And when it does its not bad but its there.
Always something on a boat! oo9 (ol)
