Title: Indian Lake - South Kingstown
Post by: Curt on June 12, 2017, 11:02:05 AM
I had a guide trip yesterday (6-11-17 and took my clients to Indian Lake.

We started fishing at 7 AM and the wind was already blowing at about 5 MPH. Forecast was calling for 10-15 MPH.

We started out fishing multiple different baits. There were 4 of us in my boat.

The bite was really slow for the first 2-3 hours, with only 1 fish being caught. But later on the clouds moved in a bit and the bite picked up noticeably.  (yes)

We ended up with somewhere between 15 & 20 bass total. Nothing big, with the big fish for the day being only about 2 1/4 lbs. But the clients were happy with that, and that's all that matters

Fish were caught in 3 FOW or less in various areas all around the lake. And all fish were caught on 4 inch worms fished with a 1/6 oz. bullet weight.

We caught a mix of smallmouth and largemouth bass.

All in all good day on the water.

As a side note, there was a small club tourney that pulled off the water the same time we did. I talked with a few of the guys to see how they made out and they did about the same as we did, with wining weight being only slightly over 10 lbs. Lunker for the tourney was just under 4 lbs.

So we were on target with the fish we caught.

Here are a couple pics.
