Title: How to get home after you blow out a spring on the ramp

My spring broke while putting in for a tournament as soon as the boat floated off Ping.. Still fished and while out there found some drift wood. Got me 20miles home without and issue.

Post by: Jimmy RodandReel on February 02, 2015, 09:45:34 AM: HA HA! That's the same thing we had to do a few years ago on the way back from the lake. We hit a pot hole and the spring broke right at the eye. The tire burnt all the paint off the fender before we could get in stopped. :-[

AND it was 2:00am! It sucked but we did the same thing with some scrap 2x4's we had in the truck and some creatative use of ratchet straps and got it home. Yes I feel your pain. \o/
