Title: Aussie small boat.
Post by: aussiebasser on March 04, 2015, 05:55:02 PM
This is our 13 footer.
I did all the floor modifications myself.  We call them tinnies down here.
I run a 55lb Minn Kota iPilot on the front and a 55lb Minn Kotor Riptide with Copilot on the back.  I can unbolt the rear one and put the 25hp Merc EFI 4 stroke on.  It has a Bob's Machine Shop Trim and Tilt unit on it.  I run a 981 and a 798 'bird.

55 lb. thrust must make that 13’ rock! (urock)
I carry a 42 lb on front., and a 40 on the stern of my 15’ and can get where I need to be. Considered gas for a while but all the lakes I fish are “idle speed only” so not any advantage. Some of the small state lakes don’t allow gas motors on the boats.

We're the same down here.  I have a block and tackle set up in the man cave permanently to pull the Merc on and off.  With the motors front and back, I can drive it sideways if I need to.
