I took the plunge and bought a Piscifun Torrent baitcasting reel recently. It arrived on Friday, so I haven't had time to fish with it yet. But I did open it and check it out.
My impressions while holding it in my hands and playing with it seem to be good so far. It seems smooth and quiet, and it only weighs 8 ounces.
I will be spooling it up with new line this week and giving it some on-the-water time later in the week so I can get a feel for how it performs.
Once I get some time with it under my belt, I will write a full review and post a link here.
