Title: First Club Tourney of 2016
Post by: Curt on April 17, 2016, 10:46:29 AM
Fished my first club tourney of 2016 yesterday on one of the local lakes here in RI.

Massive cold front blew in the night before, leaving us with cold temps, blue skies and winds up to 25 MPH  (fp)

11 people total fished this one. The winner had a great bag of 5 bass, weighing a bit over 12 lbs. Great bag for such a terrible day.

2nd place had 9+ lbs. I had 3rd place, with 7+ lbs., anchored by a 4.44 lb. kicker. I was nudged out of the lunker by 2 ounces or so.

Had fun, but it was brutal, to say the least.

@Patrick joined my bass club and fished his first-ever tournament yesterday too  (yes)

What an awesome time. Never fished in such windy conditions or on such a shallow body of water. Caught 4 fish of which only 2 were keepers for just under 3 lbs. Thanks @Curt and the rest of the guys in the club. Can't wait for the next one!
