Post by: Curt on April 18, 2018, 10:41:02 AM
It's Wednesday!

That means we have another Tackle Test for you to check out  (yes)

This week we reviewed a Lew's Carbon Fire baitcasting rod.

Was it worth the price or was it junk?

Read the review to find out!

I may be one of the few that like the hook keeper on the triggers.

It keeps the baits away from getting tangled in the rod socks, and also you never have to worry about your line getting caught on a hook keeper, which I seem to have happen a lot as I pull out a couple feet off line out on every cast so my lure drops straight down a wall.

I can definitely see the merits in this, but for me it just feels awkward and having to unhook a Texas rigged bait is a pain in the neck. Love their rods otherwise, though
