Title: Re-purposing Yum Buzz-Frogs
Post by: Buzzbait on June 22, 2015, 06:41:19 PM
Anyone ever re-purpose your wounded Buzz-Frogs(Frogs with the paddle tails). I cut an old used one down the middle where the hook tore it up, cleaned it up a bit with a razor blade. Shaved the eye off that one side and was thinking about trying it on the back of a chatterbait. Anybody tried this?

Got pics?

I haven't tried anything like that, but I do remember spending one afternoon sitting out on my back deck with a soldering gun, repairing some beavuer style baits, just in case my new order didn't arrive before an upcoming tournament!

Heating/melting them slightly with the gun healed the broken spots made them "almost" as good as new!

I have done this with tore up baits laying in the boat floor but never sat down and done anything with them.
