Title: Locustville Pond
Post by: Curt on May 12, 2015, 02:06:09 PM
Hit Locustville on 5-11-15 for a little less than 3 hours.

Skies: Mostly Sunny
Wind: 5-15 MPH
Air Temp: 75
Water Temp: 76-78

Hard to believe the water temps shot up so fast! Empty beds everywhere on the lake. Not a single bass to be found near any of them, so it looks like they blew in and out again in a very short time.

I mainly fished around new lily pad growth in a few different areas. Managed 2 keeper bass on 4 inch plastic worms fished slowly.

No big fish, but no shorts either :)

Didn't realize how hot and sunny it was going to be, so I didn't bring sunscreen or anything to cover my feet (I was fishing in flip flops), so the tops of my feet started to burn. Once I saw that, I decided to quite early and head home. Didn't want to chance a severe burn.

I'll be headed back there again soon  (yes)
