Thanks, Jack! I had an absolute blast the entire day

Oh, and every one of those bass I landed was caught using spinning gear in water less than 3 feet deep, in and around weeds and rocks. So landing them, especially the bigger two, was a huge challenge that had my heart racing.

I had the reel spooled with 15 lb. braid and a 10 lb. fluorocarbon leader. Both held up very well, but I thought I might die during both of those very long battles  (giggle)

My wife was actually on the phone with me when I landed the 4 3/4 lber. She got to hear the play by play as I tried my best to wrestle it from the weeds  :surprised: (whew) (giggle)

Thankfully I didn't break off or lose a single fish during the entire day.

I fished in a club tourney this past weekend.

The first half hour was dead, but I made a change to my presentation and it worked for me for the rest of the day!

I bagged 17 1/4 lbs., including these nice bass!

The biggest was a tad over 5 1/2. The smaller of the two was 4 3/4 lbs.

It was a great day on the water  (yes)

On a final note, I got to use it Saturday for a tournament. It performed flawlessly and I was more than happy with it!  (yes)

@Jig Man To answer your question, yes. The footprint was exactly the same! This saved me a ton of work be4cause I didn't have to drill new holes, etc. Even the foot pedal had the same footprint, so bolting the pedal into the recessed tray was reasonably easy.

Here are some pics of the rest of the installation. I uploaded more pics at BassFishingPhotos.com, with detailed explanations for each one.

So do they have the same footprint?

I'm in the process of installing a new Minn Kota Fortrex on my bow.

Here are some initial pics of the boat with the old Maxxum removed and the Fortrex bracket sitting there waiting for me to check the holes and see if new ones need to be drilled.
