Title: Comeback Bites (video)
Post by: Scott McGehee on November 24, 2015, 02:59:56 PM
Bass that bite on topwater are generally very aggressive.  So when you miss one of them, always throw it back and give them another chance at it.  Here's 3 examples of comeback bites from a recent morning outing.

I can't count the times that a fish has missed a topwater bait and come back on a follow up cast. Sometimes on the 3rd cast! And not even because I set the hook too soon, but because the fish literally missed the bait.

One night I was throwing a huge Musky Jitterbug and had a fish miss the bait on two consecutive casts. On the third cast, though, it finally took the bait and I landed it. 6 lbs. on the button!

Was definitely worth throwing back there  (yes)
