Title: Side Rollers question
Post by: JackJ on March 25, 2015, 09:54:23 AM
I have noticed a lot of boats have side rollers that I have been looking at.  Like shown in the pic attached.
Some did not even match the angle of the side of the boat.

Any of you have trailers that have those?  Do they blimish or mark up the side of the boat?

All I have had in the past are the carpeted ones, so was wondering how these perform after a while.

I don't have them on mine, my buddy cut them off his. They could be useful in windy conditions,  but most of the time they never touch your boat.

I would think loading the boat that it would touch every time.

The boat is usually centered on bunks before it gets to rollers

You must not have to load and unload in a lot of current. :)

On our lake that is the case most of time, I never touch the side bunks, but on the river is a different story here.

I've never had a boat with side rollers, just speaking from what I've seen. So my opiniom doesn't count for much on this topic. Lol
