So on an installation like this, where the lights aren't installed into the rub rail, how do you attach them? Are they just screwed to the hull, or do you use some kind of adhesive?

They have a 3m tape on the back..you will literally rip the light apart if you try to peel them off.

Cool! I figured it must be something like that, but wasn't sure.

When it comes to the wiring, I'm assuming you need to drill somewhere for that?

That 3m tape that comes with them is some strong stuff.  I've had bluewaters on for three years now and not one of them has pulled off.  Even on the rough fiberglass under the back deck and under the console.

Yes, we drill an 1/8" hole to run the wires through.

Cool. Thanks for the info :)

Now I'll know something about installing them when I get them from you in the future  ;D

Ah they aren't too bad to do on most boats. There is a few that can give you a headache every now and then. I enjoy doing it though, and I've been blessed to stay pretty busy with it over the past couple of years.
