Title: Bass in a Funk
Post by: Curt on August 23, 2015, 11:02:25 AM
With the extremely hot, humid weather of the last two weeks here in Southern RI, the night fishing bite has been quite off the last couple of trips.

I have had a small amount of time that was daylight before the sun set, where I've had a few fish, but once darkness sets in it's been pretty slow recently.

I believe that as the water temperatures start to cool during the next week or two, as cooler nights start to happen, the night bite will turn back on and will actually be very good  (yes)

For some reason September and October are the hardest months for me. Maybe because there is more on the line then. STQs Divisionals, Trail Championships  (hmm)
Had a great day fishing Tuesday; best since spring.

Right now water temps here are sitting around 82 degrees, which is pretty warm for the last few days of August.

Last night was down into the very low 60s, though, with lows tonight and tomorrow night dropping down to 60 or below, so the water will start to cool a bit. But it looks like next week is supposed to heat back up again, with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid to high 60s. Might be an extended summer season.
