Title: Almost a Biffle bug
Post by: Jig Man on December 27, 2015, 04:49:25 PM
I just got a new mold.  It makes a very good likeness of the BB except it is not hollow.

I've been experimenting with a few colors while I wait for us to dry out.

Looks good

My favorite color for the areas where I fish is Watermelon/Red Flake  (yes)

The layout of the mold is not conducive to laminating so I built a laminating plate so I can get 2 colors like the last 2 in the pic showing belly and back of the green bait.  Watermelon/red is good around here also.

That light colored belly looks good and I bet will trigger some bites that you might not otherwise get with a solid color.

I have invited the son of a good friend to make baits this pm.  I have 6 b bug colors I want and I asked him to look up the site and choose what he'd like to make.  I hope to have an array of colors by the end of the day.
