Title: Yesterday's Guide Trip
Post by: Curt on July 16, 2017, 11:25:36 AM
I had a guide trip scheduled for this Friday, but the weather was bad, so we postponed until Saturday. Turns out that was a good move because the conditions yesterday were almost perfect. Complete cloud cover and only a very slight breeze.

We did have one brief very light shower, but it only lasted 10 - 15 minutes, so nobody got very wet.

A husband and wife wanted to take their grandson fishing with me, so we planned and met up yesterday morning.

The fish were pretty cooperative and we landed quite a few in 3 short hours.

The grandfather actually caught a bass on the very first cast of the morning, which always gets things started on a positive note

Over a little less than 3 hours, we put 8 or so bass in the boat between all of us. I fished very little, since all 3 people were pretty much neophyte anglers and required a fair amount of help and attention. The grandson tried his best to cast, but couldn't seem to get the hang of it, so I would cast for him and then hand him the rod so he sould retrieve the bait  :)

All in all it was a great day on the water

Photo removed at the request of the parents.

I'm sure that lad will remember that trip for a long time.
