Title: 2016 Bassmaster Classic!
Post by: Curt on March 04, 2016, 02:42:04 PM
Day 1 of the Classic is almost over and it looks like the pros were hit with conditions that threw most of them for a loop.

Apparently there was good wind blowing during practice and they were crushing big bass.

Today the wind has been almost non-existent, so they've all had to make some serious adjustments.

As of 2:30 eastern time, the leader had a limit of roughly 17 lbs.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out  (yes)

I watched for a while today. Mostly Aaron Martens this afternoon.  Very interesting. Enjoy watching the process more than edited film only showing the catching. Hopefully more this weekend. Caucusing tomorrow and flying out again on Sunday.

Watched part of the weigh-in, but have to admit that it got a bit boring. They drag it out so badly.

I'll check the leaderboard again in a while and post the top 5 for you  ;)

Can't believe the guy on shore telling Jason Christie that Edwin Evers has 25 lbs. What was he thinking??  (fp)

@JackJ What does it mean for you with Edwin Evers winning the classic? I'm not familiar with Fantasy Fishing. I hope it means something good for you

It's like any other fantasy sport, it just adds a little extra element when you do watch the sports, and makes you cheer on folks that you normally wouldn't cheer for because you picked them.

And if you do well you can win some prizes.    I know FLW used to give out a $100k first prize to the overall winner, not sure what it is now.

@JackJ Thanks for the info. I have never gotten involved in any fantasy sports at all.  (nope)

I hope you do win something!

I very rarely pay any attention at all to sports any more, except for bass fishing. And even with that, I give all my attention to what I have going on in fishing, with very little time given to the pro tournaments.
