On the way to Stockton lake last week my starboard side brakes got hot.
Next trip down there nothing. On the way home both sides got so hot you could not hold your hand on them. I took it in to the BPS service center Monday and left it with them. I was near there on Tuesday so I dropped by to check on it. The tech said that I need a new axle and it was on order. He also said there was a recall on my sliding seats and he had replaced them. While inspecting my boat he found some gasoline leakage he worked on it but could not stop it so he ordered some new fittings.
I'm down and out for the count. We are having beautiful weather for a change and all I can do is sit and wish instead of stand and fish.
I don't know how long I'll be down.

Got a call today. New axle with pads, calipers, and even a new actuator have been ordered. The service tech said Tracker Marine normally takes a couple of weeks to get something like that shipped. So it looks like June is a bust for me. This is the second year in a row that I have missed June.

That's what I thought, that it was less than a year old

Oh man, that really stinks.
Huge bummer that this happened on a boat/trailer that's less than a year old. Hopefully it's a one-time deal and you won't have any other major malfunctions anytime soon.

seems odd that the whole axle has to be replaced. you would think caliper, pads, bearings, seals and rotor would be all needed. all off the shelf parts for that trailer in any automotve parts store. I get all replacement parts for nitro trailers at my local NAPA dealer, just cross ref the part numbers.

This is the Bass Pro Service Center. Evidently they have a small or no parts department and just order everything that they need from Tracker Marine. I'd say that they need a good looking over by someone in the know and could save a bunch of time and money. But what the heck. It has cost me $0 so far just time.

$0.00 is good but dayum a month for a brake repair typically 3 hour job max and that includes the trip to the parts guy did they at least find the cause of the failure

Not sure I didn't see the tech today just the service writer. I did not ask him anything except if he had any info on the new axle and he said no so I left. I'm not sure why they do what they do but their company is big on customer satisfaction and my selling dealer is 100 miles away and a big turd.

Any repair taking a month is pretty crazy in my opinion. The fact that you don't have to pay for it is definitely a plus, but losing the use of the boat is pretty hard to swallow
