I have a filler cap marked (oil fill and vent). It sits on top of the dash above the steering wheel just behind the windshield of my 99 cobra viper 201D bass boat. Can anybody tell me what it is for?

chances are u have sea star steering unit. its the fill cap and vent

said! My G3 came with Sea Star hydraulic steering and has the same thing behind the windshield

How do u go about filling it?.......how do you check the level? And what fluid should I use?
