I have a 689 ci di gps on the bow and a Helix 5 di gps at the console. I got the Navionics maps with the Helix 5. My question is can I use the same Navionics for the 688 and if I can please tell me.

you should be able to use the card in either unit, IIRC the new Helix is micro so in the 689 you would need an SD micro adapter - but you can't 'copy' the card and use it in both at the same time

Ok thank you. Yeah I was wondering if I could use it on both at the same time somehow. So I guess I would have to buy a whole new navionics chip for the other one then.

Unfortunately, that is correct. I am in the same predicament having both as 'birds, fortunately if I need GPS up front I've a backup Lowrance that I've got a card for so I can at least check something.
